Google’s Report Of The Most Popular Hair Trends In 2015 Didn’t Catch Us By Surprise

  • beyonce braids

Braids: If you’re looking for a way to make a bold statement, braids is your go-to hairstyle. The versatile look can translate into a sporty do, but take on a rather girly avatar when dressed with a few flowers here, and pins there. And who do we have to thank for this trend? Beyonce! Whether you’re going for the goddess braids or the box braids, they're all just as good.

  • jard leto man bun

Man Buns: Despite the fact that 63 percent of American women either dislike, or outright hate the man bun (according to a survey conducted by West Coast Shaving), this rather unsavory ball of mess is still quite popular among men. Perhaps it’s because of Jared Leto and his grungy style. But, in case you didn’t get the memo, this blue-eyed golden boy traded in his locks for a shorter crop for his role in the Suicide Squad. We think you should follow suit and not let this trend carry on into the next year.

  • justin timberlake side swept

Side-Swept Hairdo: Think JT and that classic black suit and tie. Yep, it stirs up an all-too-sexy vision in our minds. Now, if the google trend report is anything to go by, this hairstyle is still a sought-after look for a lot of guys. Can you really blame them? There’s something absolutely irresistible about the slick look. It’s oh-so cool, calm and collected that it should be illegal.

  • katy perry pixie hair

Purple Hair (Rainbow Hair): Whether you choose a bright pink, green, blue or purple (purple is by far the most popular color), technicolor hair or rainbow hair has remained quite popular, all year long. Now, of course, it’s only after some celebrity intervention that any trend gains traction and we have Katy Perry to thank for this one. For what it’s worth, the color of Fall is pumpkin (or shades of red) so, keeping up with the season should be on the agenda with some pumpkin spice or gingersnap locks.

  • kylie jenner silver hair

Silver Hair (#GrannyHair): There’s something quite appealing about the color gray. It treads that fine line between right and wrong and black and white; it’s perhaps the best way to describe everything that’s in-between. Translate that alluring obscurity into the world of style, and you’ll immediately make an association with celebrities like Dame Judy Dench, Helen Mirren, Richard Gere, and the ever-so-dapper, George Clooney. For whatever reason, the silver fox, and that salt and pepper charm transcended into mainstream beauty, with the #GrannyHair trend still alive and kicking. In fact, Kylie Jenner and Ariana Grands are sporting a platinum do and we’re definitely not complaining.
