Natural Face Moisturizer Review: Ultra Rich Facial Cream by Seed Phytonutrients

There are plenty of options when it comes to finding a natural face moisturizer you can use in your beauty regimen. Whether you’re looking for a day cream or night cream, don’t be surprised to find the natural skincare options endless and growing.

Since having options can be overwhelming, we thought we’d share one of our favorite recent finds after visiting the Natural Products Expo West. After learning about the brand Seed Phytonutrients, who is originally based in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, we were excited to try their new Ultra Rich Facial Cream.

The brand is all about promoting clean beauty and supporting organic farms. They’re also conscious of being environmentally sustainable, so we knew that their facial cream was worth giving a try just from the values they stand for.

The first thing we noticed upon opening up a sample of the Ultra Rich Facial Cream was the scent. This cream smells absolutely wonderful.

The cream has a slightly sweet, floral aroma that is balanced out by a dose of fresh mint. The contrast makes the cream neither too sweet nor too minty; it’s inviting and refreshing all at once.

The cream also feels really dreamy on the skin. As the name suggests, it’s incredibly rich and thick, which our winter dry skin loved. If you tend to have oily skin, this could be problematic. It seems like their Ultra Rich Facial Cream is better suited for normal to dry skin.

The cream is made up of ingredients like safflower seed oil, bentonite, olives, coconut, camelina seed oil, and mint. The cream will be available to purchase starting in April 2018 and will have a suggested retail price of $45.00 for 1.7 oz (50 ml).

While the cream doesn’t seem to be day or night specific, we enjoy applying the cream before bedtime. It could be too heavy if you were to try wearing it during the day under makeup, but that’s also dependent on how dry or oily your skin is.

We haven’t tried the brand’s Gentle Facial Cleanser yet, but that product contains similar ingredients to the facial cream, so the two could be a good pair to add to your nighttime routine.
