Fruit-based facial masks are easy to make, and a homemade mask is considerably less expensive than its commercial or spa-made counterparts. Our favorite fruit mask for summer features a blend of seasonal fruits with honey. We recommend using a fruit mask in the morning before showering (to minimize stickiness). Use the leftovers from your breakfast fruit salad and you’ll be all set. This sweet mix will cool your skin and give you a natural glow that’ll last all day.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup pear, cored, seeded and diced
  • 1 granny smith apple, cored, seeded and diced
  • 1/4 cup orange sections
  • 1/4 cup of honey

Directions:
Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Chill for 15-30 minutes. Apply a thin film over the entire face and sit in a cool place for a minimum of twenty minutes. Rinse off with a considerable amount of cool water.
