What is Urine Therapy?

4 mins read

Urine Therapy is an age old method of Ayurveda, which helps in dealing with chronic diseases. Urine consists of 95% of water; 2.5% is a mixture of minerals, salts, hormones and enzymes and the remaining 2.5% of urea.  Urea is the only substance which makes the urine poisonous.

Urine therapy utilizes urine for prevention and cure of various diseases and helps in enhancing one’s beauty or to cleanse one’s bowels. There are a number of ways with which the therapy is undertaken, starting from taking it fresh in the morning, mixing it with water and consuming it several times in a day or with fruits. People suffering from skin diseases sometimes wash themselves in their own golden fluid to improve their skin quality.

Urine is one of the safest ways to deal with chronic ailments like cancer, stomach infections, diabetes, gall bladder stones, etc. For almost a decade, researchers have been trying to discover and unfold the benefits of the Urine Therapy.  Doctors, researchers, practitioners and medical researchers have spent time researching and clinically testing the benefits of using one’s own urine. It has been discovered that urine is a rich source of nutrients, vitamin, enzymes, hormones and critical antibodies.

How is it beneficial?

Urine Therapy has been blessed with a number of benefits. Few major ones in which the urine therapy plays a significant effect have been listed below.

How is Urine Therapy done?

The Therapy is undertaken in three different ways:

Drinking Urine:

The urine is consumed fresh in the morning, when it is warm and fresh.  You can also consume it with fresh fruit juice or other liquids.

Massaging Urine:

If you are unsure about drinking urine, the urine therapy has an alternative in the form of massage. The therapy can be done by massaging urine on the affected parts. Massaging the affected part with fresh urine can cure all kinds of skin diseases. It can help cure ailments like paralysis, stiff joints, gangrene, long-standing ulcer and wounds, which do not heal with general medicine. The massage of urine on the head can also deal with falling of hair, making it grow stronger.

Urine Wet Pack:

People suffering from stiff joints and arthritis should use the Wet Pack therapy to deal with severe pain and stiff joints. The therapy helps making the joints loosen up and mobile, enabling subjects to walk and climb the staircase.
