Over the weekend, a People Magazine exclusive finally confirmed Janet Jackson’s first pregnancy. At 50 years old, Jackson’s news marks an inspirational new chapter in the pop star's life.
"We thank God for our blessing," Jackson shared in the exclusive, which showcases an image of Jackson dressed in all-white and sporting a prominent baby bump. In April, Jackson took to Twitter to explain why her Unbreakable World Tour, launched back in August of 2015, would be indefinitely postponed. “I thought it was important for your to be the first to know,” Jackson explains in the video. “My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” she continued. “Please, if you could try to understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up—doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue to tour as soon as I possibly can.”

She kept a low profile since debuting the video, but was spotted recently by "Entertainment Tonight" shopping at London’s Back in Action furniture store. “She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well,” a source close to the Jackson family previously told People. “She actually feels very good about everything.”
This fantastic news is likely no issue for die-hard Janet fans who have appreciated the pop star’s labored career and humble, pleasant persona throughout her years in the limelight.
