Love handles. Even with a sprinkle of sensuality, you’re just two steps away from stating the obvious, which is, you have abdominal fat, a sagging, pot or beer belly, or the classic paunch, to put it plainly!
To tackle this very problematic area, common to both men and women, our wellness expert panel including medical professionals, celebrities, and comedians, offers up some great tips for losing weight and staying lean on Living Top 10, one of our most popular shows.
While we urge you to catch the episodes yourself, we’ve go some tips and tricks for weight watchers that seemed to work wonders for us as well:
- For starters, try including these fat-burning foods into your everyday meal plans. Understand that all foods are “thermogenic”, because the body must use energy to digest them. This is known as the “thermic effect of food” (TEF) or “specific dynamic action of food.” Fat-burning foods basically expedite this process.
- As for working out the fat and burning calories while simultaneously toning and building lean muscle, we’ve found that yoga makes for a great practice that combines cardio and strength training activities into its poses. So, while power yoga (the recommended workout by the experts) is a set of exercises or physical movements that improve one’s flexibility and self -discipline through fluid and rapid sequences, there are a number of hybrid and new-age yoga off-shoots that are upbeat, will get your heart pulsating, and amp up your metabolic rate simultaneously.
From paddleboard, aerial and acroyoga, to hot yoga, yoga with light weights, and pole dancing yoga, there’s a plethora of options that are worth your time and money.
