This Man Lost 107 Pounds In 90 Days — More Than A Pound A Day!

by Brandon Topp

Can someone turn their life around completely, twice?

"Yes," says Curtis Bray — a former contestant on The Biggest Loser, now featured on Z Living’s new original series The Big Fat Truth (premiering June 11). Our new weight-loss show, created by JD Roth (the former executive producer of The Biggest Loser and Extreme Weight Loss) addresses the real reasons behind why people struggle with their weight, then gives them tools and encouragement to transform their lives.

Check out a sneak peek of the show below, and learn more about it here.

You Won't Believe Curtis Bray’s Unbelievable Transformation On The Big Fat Truth

During the The Big Fat Truth’s premiere episode, which features six former contestants of The Biggest Loser who regained the weight (and more!) afterward, former Loser Curtis Bray's incredible results astonished Roth and the rest of the The Big Fat Truth participants. His starting weight, in the 'before' photo show at right? 406 pounds.

Then, Bray lost 107 pounds in 90 days on The Big Fat Truth — more than a pound a day! — as well as reduced his total body weight by a whopping 26%! What's more, he lost 8% of his body weight in the first 10 days alone. And you won't believe his 'after' photos (but you'll have to tune in to see them!).

So how exactly did he do it?

Focused on helping the Bray and fellow participants, including the first winner of The Biggest Loser, Ryan Benson, host JD Roth prescribed his old friends with a whole food, plant-based diet. Bray and his wife, Mallory, also a participant on The Big Fat Truth, were doubtful about their new food rules at first ("I'm doomed," moans Curtis), but once the weight started to drop and his blood work headed in a healthier direction, he was hooked. (Check out our our guide to a whole food, plant-based diet guide here.)

"I feel like I can't go wrong with plant-based dieting, and I've tried every diet plan you can possibly imagine," Curtis says on the show. "What I've learned from plant-based dieting is, if it has roots, it's good."

But that's not the only thing that helped Bray drop below 300 pounds in 90 days.

So how did he turn his life around?

What advice and special surprises did JD Roth provide to aid this unfathomable transformation?

And, most importantly, what does his “after picture” look like?
