We had such a delicious blast with last week's #SmoothieSaturday recipe, brought to us by PopSugar Fitness global sensation and Z Living's Class FitSugar host Anna Renderer
, that we asked her to suggest another great healthy smoothie drink. And again, Anna did not disappoint.
Anna is our go-to expert because as a trainer on Class FitSugar
, which airs daily at 5PM EST on Z Living, she knows a thing or two about staying fueled and hydrated during invigorating workouts. Water is of course, the ultimate miracle drink for any fitness routine but the second best libation could very well be today's recipe.
Our Coconut Turmeric smoothie is a trip to the islands all in a glass, that incorporates fruits found all over the world. And in addition to coconut milk and oil, which are great for promoting digestion, relaxing nerves and muscles plus reducing joint inflammation (how's that combo for a post workout pick me up?), this delicious smoothie pumps up the flavor by adding pineapple, banana, turmeric, ginger and cinnamon.
Smoothie fans of all ages, the wait is over. We present to you... the Coconut Turmeric Smoothie.
1 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 frozen banana
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 to 1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cinnamon
