It's Fresh Spinach Day At #SmoothieSaturday

We really have been having a blast here at #SmoothieSaturday at Z Living. For the past eight weeks, we've been getting you all healthy, nutritiously wealthy and recipe wise. So now to commemorate Fresh Spinach Day, we're looking back on some our most delicious smoothie recipes featuring that greenest of the gold standard of vegetables: spinach.

First up is our Avocado Green Kiwi Smoothie. This delectable blend also features the richly, flavorful fruit and berry avocado, which is filled with antioxidants, proteins and potassium. And filling out our recipe, from Healthy & Homemade is the star veggie of the day spinach, along with orange juice, kiwi and Greek yogurt. Try it, blend it, live it, trust us, you'll love it.
 

Ingriedients:

½ cup orange juice,
 
½ vanilla Greek yogurt,
 
½ avocado,
 
2 kiwis peeled
 
1 handful of baby spinach


And to wind up our second spinach smoothie for Fresh Spinach Day we're turning up the fruit, so get your tastebuds ready. Our Orange Pineapple Green smoothie, courtesy of Simply Designing Porch, is perfect for a snack, afternoon pick-me-up or can even work as a meal. It's chock-full of mouth-watering pinepple, orange and bananas.

 

Ingriedients:

 
​1 cup Vanilla Yogurt
1 cup water
2 cups Spinach
1 Orange, peeled
1 Banana (the riper the better)
1 cup Pineapple, cut
1-3 cups ice, optional
