RECIPE: A Mouthwatering Ground Turkey Sloppy Joe

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup chicken stock
  • ½ cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 2 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dash of chili flakes
It's Super Bowl season! This means one thing, a meal for the ages that will be remembered until it is topped at next year's party. Sloppy Joe's don't normally scream "healthy"...until now. Flip My Food with Chef Jeff has come up with this ultimate recipe for a hearty and flavorsome ground turkey Sloppy Joe that will keep your guests coming back for more as the night goes on! 

  1. Heat olive oil in skillet
  2. Add bacon, onion and bell pepper to skillet
  3. Add garlic to skillet
  4. Add ground turkey to skillet; break apart and stir
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste
  6. Add dash of chili flakes
  7. Stir in brown sugar
  8. Stir in mustard
  9. Add in rosemary
  10. Stir in ketchup and Worcestershire sauce
  11. Stir in chicken stock
  12. Stir in cheese
  13. Stir in parsley
  14. Once ingredients are combined and turkey is cooked through, top on a hamburger bun, and serve
