Why Your Salad Needs Roasted Beets

by the Z Living Editors

Nothing beats a beet, right?

Check out the recipe for this Fresh Green Salad with Roasted Beets by Chef Jeff of Z Living's show Flip My Food, which airs every night at 10pm. Not only do beets add color and flavor that punches up a basic salad, they also contain essential minerals like potassium, essential for healthy nerve and muscle function, and manganese, which is good for your bones, liver, kidneys, and pancreas. Pop in a few beets to your favorite summer dish for a total healthy win.
