RECIPE: You've Gotta Make The Tangy Key Lime Pie From 'Flip My Food'

And now that stores are stocked with tangy key limes, especially, you've gotta try Chef Jeff of Z Living's popular show Flip My Food's recipe for a mouthwatering key lime pie. It's a flavor-filled dessert that's tart and sweet all in one bite.

Graham Cracker Crust

  • 1 & 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 3-4 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream


  • ½ cup fresh squeezed lime juice (key limes traditionally)
  • 5 extra large egg yolks
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk


Graham Cracker Crust
  1. Mix all these ingredients together and press into your pie pan
  2. Bake at 350 for seven minutes
  1. Mix these ingredients together and pour into your par baked crust
  2. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes, then check for doneness
  3. The center should be completely set with a slight jiggle when shaken
  4. Adjust your time and temperature as needed based on your altitude and oven
  5. Allow to cool to room temperature and refrigerate until ready to serve. This pie can also be made ahead of time and frozen

Pro tip: for an extra kick, use a micro plane to zest 1-2 limes and add this zest to your crust and/or filling for and extra citrus pop!
