Yogic Diet: Beetroot Passion Smoothie

  • 1 beetroot
  • 3 slices pineapple
  • 1tsp lime juice
  • Water
  • Mint leaves (optional)

This deep red root vegetable is said to be excellent for stamina, blood pressure and brain health. If your kids are fussy eaters, give them beetroot in the form of a delicious smoothie.


  1. Wash the beetroot thoroughly. Boil until tender, and peel the skin.
  2. Blend it with pineapple and some water in a food processor. Use very little water if you want a thick, wholesome smoothie.
  3. Add some lime juice to it, just before serving. Mix well.
  4. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
