Q: What should I look for when buying baby food?
A: Without a doubt, starting your baby off with good nutrition can have a long-term impact on her/his health and wellness. Children are even more at risk when it comes to the dangers or pesticides and chemicals in our food, not to mention GMOs (genetically modified organisms). Go organic – whether you make your own baby food or buy one of the many brands available. A simple puree of local organic vegetables or fruits is a great way to get started. If you buying baby food, check the ingredients. I personally love Sprout baby food because not only is it organic, they don’t add fruit purees to vegetables and help your baby to develop a true taste for the fresh flavors of healthy foods.
