We have seen (and tried) some pretty crazy home remedies—toothpaste for pimples, Pepto-Bismol for wrinkles, eye cream to treat laugh lines, and even hair burning to zap those split ends. And then there's the celebrity brigade with their crazy endorsements of placenta or vampire facials, horse semen, and snail slime—you know, the stuff nightmares are made of.
But, when it comes to spices and condiments, we’re still not as surprised. After all, if they were good enough for our grandmother, why not, right? Did you know that cayenne pepper makes for a great fix to liven up dull hair?
For Cayenne Out Loud
The trick is in the application. Very carefully, without getting any in your eye, mouth or close to your face, work cayenne pepper sauce into your roots and stimulate the hair follicles to improve blood circulation in the scalp.
Rich in capsaicin, the spice doesn't just boost shine and add luster, it also prevents hair loss and stimulates growth, in turn giving you a more voluminous mane.
No Sauce? No Problem!
Simply cut up 4-6 peppers (seeds and all), and add it to a dark colored bottle with 60ml castor or olive oil. Apply the mixture to the roots, three times a week.
