5 Ultra-Adoptable Bulldogs At Shelters Nationwide

by The Z Living Editors
In anticipation of Z Living's upcoming original show Finding Fido, where underwater dog photographer Seth Casteel matches families with the perfect pooch, we're finding the cutest pups from shelters across America who are looking for a forever home, and sharing them with you. Keep checking in for more adoptable dogs, and learn more about Finding Fido here.

Bulldogs are of America's favorite dog breed, according to American Kennel Club. Originally bred for bull-baiting, the English Bulldog's low, heavy stature makes for a low center of gravity. And fun fact: Their little bodies were once useful for staying clear of a bulls horns — a characteristic that meant life or death. Today bulldogs have become a docile, loving pets through careful and select breeding.

The bulldogs below are all under the age of four, and all awaiting adoption around the US. Think you may be a match for one of these dogs? Contact the shelter directly. Then, tag your new pet with the hashtag #FindingFido to let us know who you saved.

Even if you don't adopt a dog yourself this year, give back to animal shelters by joining our #FindingFido campaign: Through mid-January, we're giving away $5000 to animal shelters around the US.

For every #FindingFido hashtag used we'll donate $1 to a Greater Good partner organization. Tag a photo of your dog with the hashtag, plus add the social handle of a shelter you admire to nominate them to win!

" Tino looks like an oversized French Bulldog with his smushed nose and perky ears. A face like his is guaranteed to make you smile! Tino is a sweet boy but is easily excitable and can jump up on people when he says hello. Because he’s still young, he’ll need a family who will help him learn his manners and teach him to wait for an invitation before he gives a doggy hug.”
