How To Help 'Finding Fido' Save More Dogs

by Michelle Seekamp
This past week Finding Fido (Tuesdays 9 PM) premiered on Z Living!

We couldn't have been more thrilled to finally share this heart-warming show about bringing people and pooches together to live happily (and healthily) ever after. We hope you'll tune in to see what happens when these lucky contestants meet their perfect match.

Inspired by the rescue pups finding their forever homes on the show, we partnered with GreaterGood.org — an independent organization devoted to improving the health and well-being of people, pets, and the planet —and Halo Purely for Pets® along with the host of Finding Fido, Seth Casteel to give away $5,000 in cash grants and 9,000 lbs of pet food to animal shelters and rescue groups across the U.S.

We'v given away 7 grants so far to these deserving groups:
  • Humane Society of McCormick County
  • Central Ohio Pomeranian Rescue
  • One By One Animal Advocates
  • Animal Welfare League in Chicago
  • Wonder Dog Rescue
  • Stepping Stones Canine Fosters
  • Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska

The giving campaign was only supposed to run through January 17, but now that the show has premiered we don't want to stop helping animals in need, so we're extending the program to give away even more cash grants and food to shelters!

It's not too late to nominate a shelter or rescue group that is dear to you and your four-legged best friend and help even more dogs find their perfect match, just like on the show!

Nominate a Shelter

It's easy to nominate a shelter: simply post a pic of your pet on social media with hashtag #FindingFido and tag the shelter you'd like to nominate. They'll automatically be entered into the weekly drawing for a $500 grant plus $6,000 worth of Halo pet food.

With your help we can make a real difference in the lives of pets and people.

Winners will be announced weekly on the Z Living site, and will also receive an on-air mention during an episode of Finding Fido. View the official rules and regulations here.
