Use #FindingFido To Help Animal Shelters Get $$$!

by The Z Living Editors

This holiday season, we're partnering with Greater Good and Halo Purely for Pets® to give away $5,000 in cash grants and 9,000 lbs of pet food to animal shelters and rescue groups across the U.S. Getting involved is easy (and free!): Simply post a pic of your pet on social media with hashtag #FindingFido and we'll donate $$$ to organizations in need. Go one step further and nominate an animal shelter you admire by including their social handle in your post, too, and they'll automatically be entered into the weekly drawing for a $500 grant plus $6,000 worth of Halo pet food.

So What's This #FindingFido Hashtag All About?

The newest Z Living original series, Finding Fido (premiering January 17), matches people with shelter dogs to help them both live happier, healthier lives. It's inspired us to get more involved in animal rescue, so we've teamed up with Greater Good— an independent organization devoted to improving the health and well-being of people, pets, and the planet — Halo Purely for Pets® and Finding Fido show host, dog expert, and photographer Seth Casteel to help support the efforts of pet adoption organizations nationwide. With your help we can make a real difference in the lives of pets and people this holiday season and beyond.

Here's What You Can Do:

Each week leading up to the Finding Fido premiere, we'll be giving away a $500 grant plus a Halo pet food donation to an animal shelter. We want you to help us pick which organizations should receive the cash. Here's how:

  1. Post a pic of your pooch on any social channel — Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

  2. Be sure to include hashtag #FindingFido, for every hashtag used we'll donate $1 to a Greater Good partner organization. That's all you have to do to make a difference to an animal in need.

  3. Nominate a shelter you admire by including their social handle in your post. They'll automatically be entered into the weekly drawing for a $500 grant plus pet food donation.

  4. Make sure to tell people to learn more at — you must include the link to be eligible!

Winners will be announced weekly on the Z Living site, and will also receive an on-air mention the night of the Finding Fido premiere. View the official campaign rules and regulations here.
