“It has been pretty exciting as we end the year on a high note,” Katie McDevitt, the shelter’s director of communications, told Z Living. “It was a short-lived success and something we would definitely like to relive.”

A recent Tweet from shelter staff noted that more than 100 pets were adopted during its “Bring Them Home for the Holidays” campaign, which waives adoption fees for pets ages 5 and older. The campaign is active through the end of the year, with the hopes of accelerating adoptions for the ongoing flow of needy dogs, cats, and other animals surrendered to or rescued by the shelter.
