Green tea and apple are the two superfoods you must include in your daily diet. They play a significant role in maintaining immunity and promoting metabolism, but also have the potential of curing severe health problems. What makes these foods so special?

Research has found that polyphenols, compounds found in apple and green tea can help reduce the risk of heart problems and various types of cancer. Polyphenols have the potential to block the key molecule Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), which is the main driver of blood vessel formation in diseased cells via a process called angiogenesis. It can trigger atherosclerosis that could lead to heart problems and stroke.

Researchers are targeting these micronutrients for some anti-cancer and cardiac medications. Why not include them in your meal plan and reap their benefits? Check out our six healthy ways to use green tea, and five blushing apple recipes for good health.
