A lassi is an Indian smoothie made with a base of yogurt (the perfect cooling agent for soothing the mouth after a fiery meal). As an afternoon refresher or a sweet finish to a good meal, our recipe for lassi makes a cooling and refreshing treat.
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of ice cubes
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon dry roasted cumin seeds
- A pinch of black pepper
- A pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh peppermint and coriander leaves
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Process at high speed until mixture is smooth and frothy. Garnish with chopped coriander and peppermint and serve chilled.
