Metabolism Boosting Tea

    Dandelion: This is a natural diuretic and liver cleanser. Dandelion roots assist the liver in breaking down fats and producing amino acids by stimulating bile production.


    • 1 ounce dried horsetail
    • 1/2 ounce dried angelica
    • 1/4 ounce cardamom powder
    • 1/8 teaspoon organic black pepper
    • 1/4 ounce brown seaweed or wakame (about one piece)
    • 1 ounce dried garcinia fruit
    • 1/4 ounce dried cinnamon bark
    • 1 ounce dried linden flower
    • 2 or 3 pieces star anise
    • 1 ounce fresh ginger root
    • 1 ounce fresh dandelion leaves (or 1/2 ounce dried)
    • 250 to 400 mg carnitine powder (optional)
    • 2 quarts boiling water

    Combine dry ingredients in a glass jar, cover with water and place lid on jar. Let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
