  • 1 sliced orange (with the rinds)
  • 3 cinnamon sticks (broken in half)
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1-2 tsp cloves
  • 1-2 tsp nutmeg
  • Water, as required
  • Fill a saucepan with water to about one inch below the rim.
  • Place all the ingredients in the water and bring it to a boil.
  • After a few minutes, turn the heat down and leave it to simmer all day.
  • Stir occasionally, and top up the water every 30 to 40 minutes.
