Green with envy? When those around us snag the opportunities we thought were for us, it’s natural for the green-eyed monster of jealousy to get the better of us.
What we often forget though, in the midst of throwing ourselves around the room in a hissy-fit, or at the very least feeling very sorry for ourselves, is that there’s more than enough opportunity to go around.
First of all it’s okay to feel envious or jealous — they’re natural feelings to have as an initial reaction to someone else getting what you want. Have your tantrum. Get your anger or disappointment out, if that’s what you’re feeling.
Then focus on these four things:
1. Someone else getting something that you want does not mean there isn’t something equally as good or even better waiting for you.
We live in an abundant Universe with enough possibilities and opportunities for everybody. One person getting, having, or being something does not
mean there is now one less opportunity for you or me … just as, “blowing out someone else’s candle does not make yours shine any brighter.” ~ Anonymous

2. What you need to remember is that what you have is unique.
No one else has the exact same talent or gifts, bottled up in the package that is you
, with the particular deliverability that you have. Believe this with every ounce of your being. Remember that your thoughts create your reality and if you think that someone else getting what you want means less for you, then that is exactly what the Universe will show you. If, on the other hand, you believe as I do, that there’s enough abundance for us all to go around then, you get your turn, without taking anything away from anyone else. As long as you do the work of setting a clear intention for what you want, and going after it with joyous and relentless action, it will come.

3. You will find the world behaves differently when you take action.
Your dreams start to move towards you when you begin to reach for them by taking continual inspired action. They may even begin crystallizing in ways you could not have imagined for yourself because, as the lyrics from one of my favorite Justin Timberlake songs, says, (there’s) no ceiling, when we're in our zone
~ from “Can’t Stop the Felling.”

4. Your action taking will also help you sincerely celebrate the success of those around you.
Knowing that you’re doing everything you
can to make your dreams a reality makes it easier to celebrate others reaching theirs. So what are you waiting for? Lose the long face and go celebrate your BFF’s win, knowing that by not giving up on your own dreams, this infinite Universe of endless possibility will reward your trust in action with your very own success soon enough.
