How To: Blend Your Fall Aromas

While almost all essential oils have soothing properties, certain types of oils have a stronger effect when you use the right blends and mix them with oils that will complement it.

Fall is the perfect season to try blending and mixing oils to create that perfect addition to your diffuser.

A Word Of Caution Before You Make The Blend

Before you start the blending, remember that the spice essential oils are very strong and you need to be very careful with the amount you use, as a little is enough to make your entire room feel fragrant. Also, using too much of the same could end up irritating your nose and in some cases, can also trigger headaches or cold.

In order to get the best out of your spicy essential oils, such as clove or cinnamon, it is always best to blend them with gentler oils such as sweet orange. As is the case with any oil, before applying it to your skin, always blend it with a base oil such as coconut or almond oil.

Try out these warmly delicious blends that will make your home feel that much more cozy.

  1. Sweet Orange, Ginger & Patchouli

Make a blend using the following essential oils:

  • 10 drops of sweet orange essential oil: reduces stress and negativity, creates a feeling of happiness and positivity, instant mood enhancer.
  • 4 drops of ginger essential oil: helps relieve cold and cough.
  • 6 drops of patchouli essential oil: fights fatigue, clears the mind, removes negativity, sexual mood enhancer.
  1. Sweet Orange, Clove, Cinnamon & Nutmeg

Make a blend using the following essential oils:

  • 12 drops of sweet orange essential oil: reduces stress and negativity, creates a feeling of happiness and positivity, instant mood enhancer.
  • 3 drops of clove bud essential oil: helps to calm the nerves, relieves headaches, improves mood.
  • 3 drops of cinnamon essential oil: fight fatigue, improve concentration and relieve stress.
  • 2 drops of nutmeg essential oil: helps fight fatigue, reduces nausea.
  1. Sweet Orange, Sage & Lime

Make a blend using the following essential oils:

  • 8 drops of sweet orange essential oil: reduces stress and negativity, creates a feeling of happiness and positivity, instant mood enhancer.
  • 6 drops of sage essential oil: soothes the nerves, reduces confusion and improves concentration.
  • 6 drops of lime essential oil: reduces stress and anxiety, calms the nerves.
