The cool, clean essence of basil is one of our favorite summer scents. The essential oils in basil are said to have antioxidant, antiviral and antimicrobial properties, so we especially love to put this herb to use in a warm bath. Feel free to use sweet, Thai or lemon basil according to your preference. All will create a fresh, refreshing treatment that’ll perk up your senses and soothe your stress.
Directions:
- Tie a handful of crushed fresh basil leaves in a mesh bag or cheesecloth (in a pinch, a stocking or sock will work as well).
- Run a warm bath. Let the basil soak in the warm water for 5-10 minutes, or until the water is infused with basil essence.
