Forgive us for the bad pun, but we’re basically taking off from where the Dancing With The Stars‘ judge left us. On her blog, this week, are two new beauty recipes that use one of our favorite skincare ingredients, egg whites.
Egging It On For Beauty
Packed with protein, eggs promote cell renewal and boost collagen, which makes them a great anti-aging ingredient that repairs wear and tear of the skin. They have a firming effect and can make your skin appear plump and healthy within minutes.
- Raw Egg Yolk Mask
“Separate the yolk and set it into a small clean bowl. Evenly distribute the yolk only on your face. It’s can be a little slippery and awkward to spread around, and for this reason, I like to apply it using a clean makeup brush—trust me it will save you a lot of frustration! Let the yolk mask sit for 20-30 minutes, aka the perfect amount of time to catch up on Netflix. Rinse with cold water and pat dry.”
- Whipped Egg Whites Mask
“This light and fluffy mask not only cleanses and exfoliates, but it tightens too! Beat just the white of an egg until it’s nice and frothy. Apply it to your clean face using your fingers. Once it’s dry, rinse it off and pat dry.”
Given that Julianne Hough’s DIY lip scrub and moisturizer were so helpful (the natural oils she uses make all the difference), we can’t wait to stir up her new recommendations.
