A head full of luscious locks is something we all desire. We all want to feel our hair flowing in the wind while we drive, but sometimes our luscious mane can feel like stiff wire. During a time like this, we wish we had a solution that’ll help revive our hair without exposing it to harsh chemicals that are in most of the shampoos and conditioners we buy at local beauty supply stores. But there is a way with this Ayurvedic hair mask.
Over the years, Ayurvedic remedies have actually been tested and proven to be extremely beneficial for hair. They help heal the scalp while strengthening the hair. If you’re new to Ayurveda and haven’t tried any of the Ayurvedic herbs, you should consider giving this mask a try.
But before you do, you should know a little about this traditional Indian form of medicine that so many people live by and trust.
What Is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is one of the oldest holistic healing systems used by millions of people all over the world. This system utilizes Nadi Vigyan, or pulse diagnosis, to determine what’s wrong with you and the kind of treatment you need.
A trained Ayurvedic practitioner can feel any abnormalities and imbalances in the body through the pulse. And through the pulse, a practitioner will know the balance and interaction of the body and mind systems. By assessing these parts of the body along with your body language, facial expressions and the tone of the voice, a practitioner will determine what is wrong and provide ayurvedic herbs to help solve that issue.
When it comes to the hair, there are a couple of different herbs that are used in this hair mask to promote hair health.
Ayurvedic Hair Mask for Fuller and Thicker Hair
This hair mask is perfect for everyone and all types of hair. Whether you have dry, oily, thin, coarse, frizzy or damaged hair, using this mask will help stimulate hair growth, prevent frizz, soothe an itchy scalp and prevent split ends and hair breakage.
This hair mask is composed of Ayurvedic herbs like shikakai, neem and tulsi. Shikakai is known as the “fruit for the hair” because it naturally balances the pH level of your hair while strengthening the hair roots. Neem caters to your scalp by getting rid of scalp conditions like eczema, acne, hives, dandruff and psoriasis.
Tulsi or holy basil promotes hair growth and stimulates scalp circulation. It is also filled with antioxidants, which protect the hair from the free radical damage that contributes to thinning and hair loss. Now that you know what these herbs can do for your hair health, it’s time to put these all together.
