- 2 ounces valerian root (available in natural products stores and online)
- 2 ounces kava (available in natural products stores and online)
- 3 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable glycerin (or honey or dehydrated cane juice)
Combine herbs and water. Simmer, covered, on low heat, until reduced by 1/2. Strain and squeeze into a glass jar. Combine with an equal amount of vegetable glycerin (about 1 1/2 cups).
Dosage: 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon, taken in water, every 10 to 30 minutes, as needed.
