Turmeric For Prostate Cancer
A research published in the Journal of Cancer Science & Therapy highlights the radioprotective (protection from radiation) effects of curcumin in treating prostate cancer. The group which received curcumin supplementation showed significant and long-lasting improvement in urinary frequency and ease.(4)
A lab-based investigation done on prostate cancer cells found that when curcumin was administered to cancer cells, the cell death increased with higher curcumin concentrations.(5) Curcumin in turmeric also inhibits the growth of compounds that cause prostate enlargement.(6,7)
