Lenovo made its foray into the wearable technology market at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES 2015) in Las Vegas, with the launch of the Vibe Band VB10.
The smart band comes with a curved 1.43-inch E-ink display that boats of a 296x128px resolution. It is compatible with any device that runs on Android 4.4 and higher, and all iOS devices.
Because metal is the base of the Vibe Band VB10, it looks far more sophisticated than its competitors. Available in three colors—black, silver, gold—the device weighs just about 30gm.
The VB10 comes with a battery pack that can last seven days, a glare-proof display that is always lit, and a 24-hour Bluetooth connection.
It has tracking metrics which count your steps, calories and distance traveled, and also monitors your sleep. You can also receive phone notifications on your E-link display via Bluetooth.
Priced at a reasonable $89 and set to be released in April, the VB10 is like most other fitness watches in the market. It’s not path breaking, but it is affordable, functional, and can get the job done.
