If you’ve been a weight-watcher for a while, you’re probably accustomed to a hearty breakfast of fresh fruits, cereal, and the occasional protein intake in the form of eggs, typically of the boiled variety to avoid the oil and butter that goes into prep. Well, we recommend you continue on that path, but now, reap an additional benefit from that hard-boiled egg. Just unboil it!

Apparently, a team of scientists from California and Australia unlocked a revolutionary beauty secret after they discovered how to unboil an egg. According to cosmetic chemist Randy Schueller, the scientists figured out how to untangle proteins that mix together when an egg is cooked. “The ultimate beauty invention would be a ‘protein unscrambler’ that would let us control the bend in our hair or even prevent a wrinkle.”

If the protein unscrambler can translate into practical use, it would most likely result in a product that could reverse damage to hair or skin proteins.

Needless to say, getting rid of flat irons or curlers, and anti-aging lotions is a day we’re looking forward to!
