Even pseudo British royalty can have a bad hair day. Victoria Beckham traveled half way across the globe to Singapore for her namesake tour, and while it was first class all the way for the very posh lady, the former Spice Girl had a complete meltdown when she arrived in the country.
Needless to say, the humidity in Singapore isn’t very forgiving, and VB had the toughest time trying to tame those stresses. In fact, she had to call in the troops, what with her hairstylist and crew who came to the damsel’s rescue with their styling tools and gels.
While Mrs Beckham managed to revive her crowning glory, here are some tips to #FightTheFrizz for those of us who travel without a beauty entourage:
- Haircare begins in the shower. Select a shampoo and conditioner that moisturize and hydrate your locks.
- Do not towel dry, because the friction will perpetuate the frizz.
- Use a serum, and steer clear of blow-dryers and heat-driven styling tools.
- You can also try some natural deep conditioning. Apply 2tbsp coconut or olive oil to the roots and mid-shaft of your hair. Wrap it up in a shower cap and let it rest for 30 minutes. Wash it with the recommended shampoo and conditioner (as above).
With these simple remedial measures, you should be able to #FightTheFrizz and sport a glamorous hairdo, much like VB.
