Ingredients
- 2 cups old fashioned oats
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 apple peeled and chopped
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- maple syrup to sweeten oatmeal with optional
Instructions
- Pour the milk and water into a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in the chopped apple too. Once the mixture is near boiling, lower the heat to medium-low and stir in the oats.
- Stir the oatmeal occasionally as the oats cook for a few minutes. Once much of the liquid has been absorbed and the oats have cooked, stir in the ground cinnamon and maple syrup. Serve warm.
