We can’t deny that ice cream is one of our weaknesses; we just love the cool, creamy texture of this frozen dessert. Fortunately, there’s a way to enjoy a healthy, sugar-free version of this treat, and this banana ice cream recipe is proof!

Bananas have a naturally sweet flavor and creamy texture to them. It’s easy to add a banana to any food and not need any extra sugar to make the food sweet. So, we took advantage of banana’s superpowers here and created a banana-based ice cream that needs no cream and no added sugar.

All you need are some ripe bananas, sweet pears, cinnamon, and vanilla. These ingredients are simply puréed together then frozen until chilled and firm.

We love topping our banana ice cream with chopped nuts and sometimes a drizzle of dark chocolate for added oomph!
