We all know how convenient smoothies can be; they’re quick-to-make and packed with nutrients. This carrot smoothie recipe is no exception. The only difference is that this smoothie truly tastes like dessert in a cup!
If you’re a fan of carrot cake, then you’ll probably be a fan of this simple carrot smoothie. Made with all the warm spices, including nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon, this carrot smoothie is everything you love about the cake but in a drinkable, smoothie version.
The benefit of a carrot smoothie is that you get the same great flavor of the dessert without the added sugar or loads of calories. Not only that, but this carrot smoothie is rich in powerful antioxidants like beta-carotene.
To make this carrot cake smoothie recipe, you’ll want to use some kind of non-dairy milk, such as almond milk or cashew milk. We prefer vanilla almond milk, but if you’re allergic to nuts, try a nut-free option like pea milk.
The almond milk is blended with a carrot, banana, spices, and shredded coconut. For a finishing garnish, feel free to add some chopped walnuts, which is a nod to classic carrot cake as well as a great source of omega-3 fatty acids.
