While pesto is usually made with basil, this cilantro pesto is just as delicious and a nice twist on the classic version.

Unlike basil pesto, this cilantro pesto recipe doesn’t utilize garlic or parmesan. Instead, you get great flavor from the ginger and rice vinegar.

The great thing about making any kind of pesto is that it can be whipped up quickly in a food processor. Once your pasta has cooked, you simply toss the sauce with the pasta and it’s ready to eat.

You can also serve this cilantro pesto on grilled chicken or fish, or spread it on toasted pieces of baguette for a quick and delicious crostini.
