Detox Juice Recipe | A Cleansing Drink to Add to Your Diet

    A detox juice recipe can be a wonderful way to give your body a break and flush out toxins. It can also be used as a part of a fasting program to achieve weight loss goals. Squashing all your fruits and veggies into a single drink is a quick, easy way of getting their nutrients.

    When you juice your fruits and veggies, it’s different than simply blending them to make a smoothie. Juicing your produce takes the fiber out of the end product, making juice very easy to digest.

    Juices made of fruits and veggies also contain a good amount of antioxidants and disease-fighting chemicals. For instance, the polyphenol from apple and spinach juice fights Alzheimer’s Disease, while celery juice maintains healthy blood pressure.

    1. Juice the carrots, ginger, and apple and pour into a 2-quart jar with a tight lid.
    2. Juice the oranges and lemon in a citrus juicer or squeeze with your hands if you don’t have a citrus juicer. Add to the jar, along with the honey, hot pepper and garlic powder. Screw the cap on tightly and shake well.
    3. Fill up the rest of the jar with cold water, and shake again to mix. Keep refrigerated and use within 48 hours.
