Fruit Pizza Recipe | A Healthy Summer Dessert

    Pizza is a worldwide favorite; visit any country and you’ll find a pizza shop somewhere in your vicinity. Lesser known is its dessert twin – fruit pizza. If you’ve never had fruit pizza before, getting ready to fall in love!

    Fruit pizza is a delicious dessert you can whip up for the summer when you’re trying to be health conscious but want to satisfy your sweet tooth. This fruit pizza loads up on an array of fresh summer fruit to deliver a scrumptious dessert with plenty of vitamins and antioxidants.

    You can swap out any of the fruits for other favorites or whatever you can find in your local market. The key to any fruit pizza recipe is to use fruits that are fresh, ripe, and available at their peak.

    For the crust
    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Spray a tart pan or pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray. Unravel the dough and transfer to your pan. Prick the dough with a fork all over.
    2. Bake the crust for about 25 minutes, or until it's golden and crisp throughout. Remove the crust from the oven and allow it to completely cool.
    For the spread
    1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest and salt until smooth.
    2. Use an offset spatula or spoon to evenly spread out the cream cheese mixture on the cooled crust.
    For the glaze
    1. Heat the marmalade in the microwave or a saucepan for about 30 seconds or so, just until the marmalade has loosened up into a liquid-like consistency.
    To assemble
    1. Place the fresh fruit all over the cream cheese spread, arranging the fruit any way you desire. Brush the glaze over the fruit, slice, and serve.
