In the summer, all we seem to be craving are refreshing drinks like this iced green tea latte recipe. While we love the iced green tea from Starbucks, making that many trips to the coffee shop can get expensive. Instead, we created this copycat Starbucks green tea latte to help us cool down right at home.
Whether you use regular green tea bags to make this drink or use matcha like we did to create an iced matcha latte is totally up to you and your preference. We prefer using Starbucks matcha powder to make our iced green tea latte because of all the benefits associated with matcha tea.
We also like to make this iced green tea latte with coconut milk for a healthier twist, but you could use regular milk or you can use any other kind of non-dairy milk, such as almond milk or pea milk.
If you do end up using a non-dairy milk, you may want to add some stevia or another natural sweetener if you like your iced green tea latte on the sweeter side. We personally find the vanilla syrup that’s used in this recipe suitable enough.
For best results, make sure you sift your matcha powder well before using. This way, when you’re whisking everything together, you’re sure to have an easier time creating a clump-free iced green tea latte.
