A banana protein shake recipe like this is always a great option to have on hand if you’re looking for healthy sources to fuel up on after a workout or to just keep you full through the morning.
This healthy protein shake uses bananas for natural sweetness and a small dose of protein, as well as protein powder. Choosing which protein powder to use is really a matter of preference, but for this particular protein shake, we use vanilla protein powder.
In addition to protein powder, this recipe calls for Greek yogurt, which is another excellent source of protein. The half cup of Greek yogurt that’s used in this recipe provides about 10 grams of protein to this shake!
For some extra flavor, we also added in a pinch of ground cinnamon. The cinnamon adds a pleasant touch that pairs really well with the banana and vanilla flavors in this recipe. If you wanted to add more flavor (and more protein), you could also add in a tablespoon of peanut butter.
