While indulging in pumpkin pie every week might not be the healthiest choice, you can still enjoy the same flavors with this pumpkin pie smoothie recipe.
This vegan pumpkin pie smoothie is naturally sweetened with maple syrup and a banana, while pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie spice add delicious flavor. While this smoothie doesn’t have a flaky pie crust the way a slice of pumpkin pie does, the tradeoff is that this smoothie is incredibly easy to whip up.
No need to take out any mixing bowls, roll out any pie dough, or turn on the oven. The ingredients for this pumpkin pie smoothie are added to a blender and simply blended until smooth.
There are also five grams of protein in each serving of this pumpkin pie smoothie, making it a great pre or post-workout food. You can also whip up this smoothie in the morning before work since it’s so quick and easy to put together.
We like keeping frozen bananas on hand in the freezer to help thicken up our smoothies and give them an ultra-creamy consistency. If you are not following a vegan diet, feel free to substitute the maple syrup in the recipe with raw honey.
