S’mores are everybody’s favorite campfire treat, made with toasted marshmallows, golden graham crackers, and melted chocolate. It’s a combination that’s hard not to love. This s’mores recipe, however, is a fruitier take on the classic and is just as delicious.
To make this s’mores recipe, you’ll need a couple of the same ingredients as the classic, including graham crackers and marshmallows. The swap you’ll need to make in ingredients is the type of chocolate that is used.
Traditional s’mores recipes use milk chocolate or sometimes dark chocolate. This s’mores recipe, however, uses white chocolate.
The white chocolate has a sweeter flavor but lacks the cocoa solids that milk and dark chocolate do. It also tastes a bit milkier and pairs really well with the fresh raspberries in this recipe.
While the classic version of s’mores doesn’t contain any fruit in the dessert, we like this fresh take with the raspberries. Not only do the berries give this treat a little bit of a healthy touch, but the flavor of the berries blends really well with the white chocolate and toasted marshmallow.
If you really wanted to take this s’mores recipe up a notch, you could macerate the berries first, then add them to the s’mores sandwich. How’s that for a delectable summer treat?
