    1. Cut off a piece of the top and bottom of the watermelon. Place the watermelon upright and carefully remove the green rind and white pith of the watermelon. Cut off any longer sides or uneven parts to make a smooth, evenly shaped watermelon. Temporarily set aside.
    2. To a stand mixer or a large bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla, then beat on low speed until the sugar and vanilla are incorporated. Raise the speed to high and beat until stiff peaks form.
    3. Pat dry the watermelon with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. Apply the whipped cream frosting to the exterior, then garnish with your desired topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
