If you usually put off packing your bags to the very last minute, that’s perfectly fine because we’ve figured out how to pack a suitcase in under 30 minutes while making sure to have everything needed to enjoy the trip.
Check out these nifty tricks to make sure your trip is ready for a smooth sailing when your packing time is slim.
How to Get Your Luggage Ready in Under 30 Minutes
Step 1: Pack All Your Personal Items
You should always be prepared in life and when you’re traveling. Make sure you have a list of all the personal items you will need and get them ready to place in a large toiletry bag. These items are usually the ones you tend to forget when you’re in a rush, by making a list ahead of time, you’ll be able to have a peace of mind knowing that you’ve got everything you need:
Items that should go on your personal items list include:
- Toothbrush and mini toothpaste
- Medicine
- Travel-sized deodorant
- Any digestive medicine if you’re prone to stomach upsets
- Tampons
- Tweezers and razor
- Bandaids
- Worldwide plug adapter
- Phone charger
Step 2: Shampoo, Conditioner and other liquids
Since there is a restriction on the size of liquid products you can take with you on a plane, it’s always important to have a set of small containers and a clear airplane bag to put your shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, hair gel and everything else you will need. This way it’ll prevent you from taking an extra trip to the store when you arrive.
Step 3: Have Your Bag or Suitcase Ready
Depending on the length and purpose of your trip, you’ll either need a large suitcase or a small one. But it’s always useful to have one bag that’s suitable for all trips. Make sure your bag has multiple pockets and folds to fit all of your items.
Step 4: Make a List of Everything You Will Need
Aside from the list for your little bag of personal items, make sure you have a list of all the important stuff that you know would ruin your trip if you were to leave home without. The toiletries on your personal list can easily be replaced, but the items on your essential list can’t be.
Items on your essential list should include:
- Passport
- Camera
- Your phone
- Headphones
- Visas and tickets
- Bank cards
Step 5: Determine Which Clothes to Pack
Now that you’ve got everything you need that’ll make your trip happen, it’s time to pick out your clothes. Picking out clothes shouldn’t be difficult. Make sure you have a good ratio of pants and shirts that you could wear in all types of weather. Pack a sweater, bathing suit, pajamas and underwear. A nice pair of shoes, boots, sandals and heels if you plan on going out for a night on the town. Pack it all in your luggage and you’re ready to fly.
