Have you ever used one of those expensive lip scrubs and were surprised at how supple and soft your lips felt and looked afterward? Even though using commercial-brand lip scrubs can give you your desired results, you should really consider taking the benefits listed on the label with a grain of salt.
Lip scrubs, like a lot of other beauty and skincare products made by big corporations, contain ingredients that are harmful to your skin as much as they are harmful to the environment.
If soft lips are what you desire, the journey to kissable lips isn’t a long one. Just make your own homemade lip scrub — it will have your lips feeling soft without the chemicals and for a fraction of the price.
How to Use a Lip Scrub?
Exfoliating your lips is an easy process, especially if you have your own DIY lip scrub. All you have to do is use a generous amount and scrub it on your lips in a circular motion. Let it sit for about one to two minutes and wipe it off with a warm washcloth.
Apply your lip balm, natural preferably, after each use to get the desired results of your freshly exfoliated lips.
Now that you know how to use it, try formulating your own lip scrub with our recipe that’s perfect for the summer season.

Grapefruit oil helps soothe the skin while lemon oil provides anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits to the skin. The honey and coconut oil present in this recipe act as a humectant to help preserve the moisture in your skin while nourishing and cleansing your lips.
Give this recipe a try and enjoy your journey to healthy lips.
