Directions:
- Position the person receiving the massage on his or her abdomen, on a massage table or on a mat on the floor.
- Begin with long, sweeping strokes that cover the entire back.
- Rub your palms together, then lay them on the back.
- Knead the back muscles deeply, for a more penetrating effect.
- Hit the back gently and rhythmically with cupped hands or fists.
- Move the heel of your palms or sides of your hands forward and backward across the skin to loosen the muscles.
- Lastly, gently pull the arms, legs and head to stretch the muscles.
